Our Computer Science Magnet has many innovative and exciting activities throughout the year!
Students have opportunities to participate in our Cyber Patriots program. CyberPatriots is the National Youth Cyber Education Program created by the Air Force Association to inspire K-12 students toward careers in cybersecurity or other science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines critical to our nation's future. At the core of the program is the National Youth Cyber Defense Competition, the nation's largest cyber defense competition that puts high school and middle school students in charge of securing virtual networks.
We are excited to announce that our Computer Science Magnet has been selected to pilot the Young Producer’s Group. The students come up with ideas for a song write lyrics, and then record their ideas under the supervision of a YPG instructor.
We have monthly Spirit Assemblies where students and parents are recognized for their accomplishments Students are rewarded for excellent attendance and achievement through lunch activities and incentives.
Our yearly Magnet Showcase Night attracts current, former and prospective Computer Science students to see the projects and activities our Computer Science students do everyday within their classes and have opportunities to meet and greet our amazing teachers.
